Ivan Bordas
Ivan Bordas was born in Santiago, Dominican Republic. He is a director and producer.
He began working in the film industry in Santo Domingo while pursuing a business degree from La Pontificia Universidad Catolica Madre y Maestra.
In 2012, Ivan enrolled in a M.F.A. in Film and Television Production at the School of Cinematic Arts (SCA) of the University of Southern California (USC).
Juan Martinez Vera
Juan was born in Mexico and moved to the U.S. at the age of eleven.
On his last year at USC's School of Cinematic Arts, Juan received the prestigious Sloan Grant to write and direct SPARK. This film went on to receive a US Student BAFTA Award nomination, a DGA Award for Best Latino Student Director and a distribution deal with HBO.
Juan's goal as a filmmaker is to inspire people to use their imagination to transform their reality.
Melanie Aitkenhead
Melanie Aitkenhead was born in Guatemala City, Guatemala. She is a director and cinematographer, known for Mother, May I Sleep with Danger? (2016), Actors Anonymous (2017) and Moments De La Ville (2013).
Nicole Quiñones
Nicole is Filmicana's Operations Director. She is licensed in Advertising Communication and completed studies in Marketing, Sales and Consumer Psychology in Baruch College, NYC. Currently she's finishing her MBA in Barna Business School, in Santo Domingo.
Along her career she has worked as Marketing Manager, Publicity and Event Coordinator for companies.
